If you are in a timezone that doesn’t work with the calendly link, please let me know and we’ll find a time that works for you.
PREPARE YOURSELF
The focus of this show is near-death business experiences (NDBE).
My goal is to help people like us see a way through their own NDBE. I want viewers and listeners to learn something and feel connected to a community of people who are like them, going through what they are going through and solving problems similar to what they may encounter.
I’m going to push you to be:
Honest about your experience
Transparent about the problem you faced
Open about how you solved the issue
Clear with your message and the lessons you learned
Vulnerable and emotional - we’re not robots, this shit hurts
PREPARE YOUR STORY
Information that will be useful to have on hand:
What does your business do?
What was the near-business-death experience?
When did it take place?
How long did it go on for?
Who were the key players involved (a client, a specific team member, your board, an executive, a wife/husband/partner)?
How did you feel at the time?
How did you overcome this problem?
Did your business survive?
How much money did this cost you? Or was there another cost incurred (personal cost, mental health cost, physical health, etc)
What did you learn that you take with you everywhere you go now?
How did this experience influence your business ventures in the future?
Please prepare your thinking and answers to the above for the episode. It’s imperative that you’re willing to be open and candid about what you went through.
PREPARE TO PROMOTE
Finally, I’d love to promote your latest project, feature or promo to my audience so please come prepared to talk about and promote something specific at the end of the show.
To make sure the final result is of a standard that we’ll both be happy with, please send through the following:
High-res photo of yourself
Bio that I can use to introduce you
Business logo
Business URL to promote
Social media links for you
Social media links for your business
Any documents, images, clips or information that may add to the episode content and your story.
That’s it!
Thank you so much for agreeing to talk about such a painful experience publicly and candidly. I can’t wait to hear about your NDBE.
