I am the Nic behind NicSocks.com.
I was the co-founder and CEO of Motribe before successfully selling the company to Mxit (Africa’s largest social network).
Prior to that I founded the successful South African blog, SA Rocks.
I’ve also had my fair share of failures in the past:
Digspot – a social network for students living in digs.
Studentwire – a news aggregator for student news media.
A failed company trying to assist freelance writers to find work.
An unsuccessful career as a freelance writer and photographer.
My corporate experience includes the Financial Mail, Mail & Guardian, Sunday Times and Vodacom South Africa.
