Holiday shopping – What I’m going to do

by Nic Haralambous on 13/11/2008

I am going to buy all my holiday gifts online.

I will only shop from local online stores/products.

I will keep the price per gift under R120.

Those are my holiday shopping assurances.

Should we be sending you our wish-lists?

I was just thinking the same thing!!!

Went to Kalahari.net, found four items that I need to get, all of them were cheaper (considerably) than “real” store prices, all are delivered to my doorstep, and no delivery charge.

Compare that to shlepping around a mall, dealing with clueless salespeople, standing in lines, putting up with the crowds, getting frustrated about no-stock items, impulse (stupid) purchases etc etc.

Online shopping rocks! This will be the sanest Christmas ever.

(And shameless plug to my online shopping rate-and-review site, click.co.za!)

Excellent thinking! And also consider buying some good feelings and impact on the world rather than just stuff: http://www.makechristmasmatter.co.za

And, I hope you’ll be using PriceCheck (www.pricecheck.co.za) to find them! :-)

Been doing this for years. It’s a real winner. Just not as much choice here than in the UK/Aus. Some of them will even wrap the presents for you…MUCH better than spending useless hours fiddling with sticky tape!

This is like a Christmas wish list, you will need another zero to your online shopping budget though. http://www.blinqaudio.co.za
