In my opinion the first kulula.com website was amazing, straight to the point, easy and fast.
They seem to have backtracked and gone with a site design more complicated but harder to use.
Too little signal, too much noise.

I think Kulula could have put the money spent on rebranding to much better use.

Making their site more usable for one.

Perhaps linking Kulula login accounts with JetSetter accounts – this would help minimise the amount of logins needed to purchase a ticket… etc etc

I like the new branding and website however I think the transition went a bit far. Will previous customers or brand loyalists still recognize the Kulula branding?

I must agree, the new look and feel is much better. Not sure I’m too fond of the div hide/show at the bottom though..

I’m a huge Kulula fan (regularly fly with them and even own a Kulula credit card) – they are the closest thing we have got to a Virgin in South Africa and are going to go far. Virgin has their Branson, and Kulula has their zany sense of humour. I would not be at all surprised, if in 10 years time their main source of income is from outside the airline industry.

Huge improvement in the look and feel, I like! There could be more consistency across the different sites though. For example I wouldn’t say the Kulula Air site is “web 2.0″ at all but the Kulula Connect site is overkill. And I guess some people don’t mind boxing themselves based on the stock model approach (“i’m a cyber clot” …?) as much as I do.

And tables for layout? Seriously, in 2008? Come onnn!! Serve your presentation with CSS once per visit instead of placing extra load on your servers and making your users wait while your clunky table markup downloads and renders for every single page load.
