MyGenius has deleted my account with out my permission. And when I asked nicely for them to restore it from back-ups they were unable to do so. I even asked for a face to face meeting with Doug Timberlake or John Raath and both where to busy to allow me to discuss my feedback over the last two years with them. So I've finally reached the tipping point where I am writing on open letter to the owners (Doug and John) listing all the negative experiences I have encountered. They have done very little with the ongoing feedback I provided them, especially after I hosted several of the MyGenius networking meetings. Why settle for 10,000 South African users when LinkedIn has over 70,000 and Facebook close to 1 million users LIVING IN SOUTH AFRICA?

Well, to answer your first question, there's buzz because there's always buzz when the godfather blogs about something... Paul has done a wonderful job of elaborating on my content in the last few weeks :P

Secondly, don't be a tonsil. Just because something doesn't work for you deosn't mean it can't work for anybody else Haralambous.

Lastly, I posted a question. I said I'd be giving it another go, not that I thought it was working. In fact I listed a whole bunch of ideas for improvements. So far you are right, there hasn't been any major impact but if I land even one small biz deal from MyGenius the time will have been well spent. It'll also be more than I've ever got out of Plurk, as a random example...

Hee hee.

Hahahaha - Ye, me too, know anyone who's paying?!

No, I understand that they probably aren't, my basic point is that to blog about the site you must've been paid cause no one would blog about it out of their own free will!! A bit tongue-in-cheek-hidden-innuendo!

Dude, take a look at the second half of my post again. It really isn't a positive post (I was trying not to go for the jugular because some people benefit from it). I was trying to address Mike's comments about the site.

Besides, I write much more positive stuff when I am bribed ... ahem, paid to do it.
