While this ad may look great I still don't like it. Two reasons:
1. I hate ads that take over from what I have gone to the site to find. (I have the same view of the newsletter sign-up boxes that pop up on some sites when you open the home page - I will NEVER sign up for a newsletter that way.)
2. While this ad still looks quite interesting, we can be pretty sure that they will not all look so great.

I've clicked through but I can't see the ad, so I'll go by your screenshot.

Personally, as a user, I hate this type of thing, it really irritates me.

As a website owner though, I have found it to be a very effective form of advertising. It generates huge traffic for our advertisers and they are willing to pay a handsome some for the exposure. On one of my sites, the slot for this ad is booked years in advance!
