Hey Dave! Thanks man, I’m glad you like the post and hope you do try out the e-mail feed suggestions.

RSS is such a personal thing, like I’ve said above, either your dig it or you don’t. Either you care about full feeds or you don’t.

It’s a really tough one I think and one that I still think about constantly.

Nic, this is a really useful post and well written too.
I must just add, though, that truncated feeds piss me off, and I have unsubscribed from blogs that do that. Which, amounts to a net traffic loss on their part, as I often click through from the RSS feed in order to comment, or to bookmark.
I’m going to get cracking on the email box though!

Great post Nic. I did away with the RSS feed icons a couple of months ago, took up more space than they’re worth. I’ve changed my subscription icon to include the word free…let’s see what happens.
