For those of you who took part in the Carte Blanche debate, here is a video (thanks Shaun) that can explain things simply, easily and… SHOCKING…in under 5 minutes. How long was the Carte Blanche piece? No main character, no interviews, no mobile, no random pics of children holding cellphones for no apparent reason.
I have seen this before a while back but it is appropriate for right now.
Remember, under 5 minutes:
There it is. It is simple and basic but it is one of the most succinct explanations I have seen yet.

Dude, at the risk of promoting myself a tad too much, take a look at my post at http://chilibean.co.za/2008/03/03/carte-blanche-and-the-importance-of-complete-conversations/
The video below is another good example even if it might be longer than 5 mins (can’t remember the duration).

@Paul you know im all for shameless self-promotion if it’s valid!!
On my way over there now!

Wow. You guys remind me of school kids; you get into such a huff and puff over something so silly, like the definition of [insert majestic music] “web 2.0″ [dum dum dum dum].
It’s not like anybody, other than a small group of online junkies, actually even cares about whether or not Carte Blanche “got it right”.

@Fokjulle – dude you’re serious starting to piss me off. You bitched on the last post about no definitions. So here is one that is effective and explanatory. Take it or leave it or just leave.
Are you ever satisfied? Watch the video and get a clue. You asked for it, here it is. Done.

Ha ha ha. Easy there, tiger. I’m actually not the one who’s been bitching, if you go back a few steps.
Have a glass of water, and relax.
Now since you’ve made such a scene about Carte Blanche’s absolutely filthy misrepresentation of the definition of “web too-point-oh”, why don’t you challenge them directly? Drop them a line. I’m sure they’ll appreciate the feedback.

@Fokjulle great idea!!
I’ll do that right now actually. Did you watch the video?
Fokjulle 1:31 pm on March 7, 2008 Permalink
Ja, it wasn’t as exciting as Carte Blanche’s segment. It was a bit boring, and had too much reading, and had really shoddy music. It dragged on a bit.
But I’ll remember to show this video to my grandmother, when trying to explain what “web 2.0″ is.

HAHAHAHA “Too much reading”. OK, I’m satisfied now. Thanks alot.
