Hi and welcome to my blog! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting and do come back.
This is the number 1 song of 2007 according to Rolling Stone Magazine. I love Rolling Stone. I am not sure where this winner came from but hell, let’s be honest, Jay-Z rocks the shit out of anyone, anywhere, any genre. So I think he is a deserved winner.
The top 5 were:
“Roc Boys”
Jay-Z
“A Few Words in Defense of Our Country”
Randy Newman
“Umbrella”
Rihanna
“D.A.N.C.E.”
Justice
“Four Winds”
Bright Eyes
My top 5 would not read as above at all. In fact, I’ve only heard two of the top 5 above.
Here’s my take on things. I’m listing ten artists, in no order that deserve recognition in my opinion:
30 seconds to mars
Chris Daughtry
Timbaland
Radiohead
Alicia Keys
Justin Timberlake
Fall Out Boy
Linkin Park
Nelly Furtado
Foo Fighters
This is my top ten for the year. Varied, diverse and all incredible muso’s.

You softie! You can put your true favourites in the list y’know! Other people also like Beau Bridges, Dolly Parton and James Blunt. No need to pretend that you are hard core……! Heehee
Well I would definately go with your list instead of theirs. I wonder where most of these awards and research is done. I also only knew of 2 songs.
And yeah, come on, Dolly’s not that bad - admit it you big snoobab
loving ur top ten… id add maroon 5!!
