This is absolutely unbelievable. I actually had my mouth open while watching this video.
And they say that SA has problems:
If anyone can explain why this student was arrested and then tasered I will be very surprised. Apparently now freedom of speech in the USA is condemned too. It’s a slippery slope.
The police said that he was insighting a riot. What absolute rubbish. Democracy involves questioning authority and people in power. This is one of the most amazing videos I have seen.
And what the hell was “Senator” Kerry doing up there letting those cops taser the kid? Is he off his rocker? What sort of a spineless “leader” is he? Completely expected from an American authoritative figure.

Appalling. And Kerry only had to say to the cops to back off and let the guy speak.
That is how simple it would have been.
Incredulous that Kerry did nothing to uphold the Freedom of Speech Ammendment

Hey Nic, there are far more horrific acts against democracy as well as violent oppression being carried out by the SA police force, right on our doorstep at this very moment!
I’ll point you to a couple of articles and eyewitness accounts of a recent incident, where police attacked many innocent people and threatened academics and journalists:

Maybe if this had all been on YouTube it would be getting the coverage it deserves, instead of being glossed over by all major commentators?

Hey Capdog – I agreee with you 100% and am not ignoring what is happening in SA, but the video is focused on the “credible” US democracy and hence my commentary is focused around this.

Wow… a bit late on this one. I already got my t-shirt. It says : “Don’t Taze me bro”. The debate around the video on Youtube has also calmed down somewhat in the last few weeks. It was pretty hectic early on. This sort of thing really opens ’some’ peoples eyes.. Fortunately!
