Work e-mail first, deal with the urgent stuff. Next is my webmail, then my blog, then Flickr. I always mean to get to Google Reader but often don’t. I am not on Stalkernet… I mean Facebook nor will I ever be!

First thing I do is stalk my love interest. Then stuff like gmail, blogs and other mundanities follow.

Facebook used to be okay until they started with this applications kak, and now contacts keep inviting me to install the most bizarre applications.

I mean, do I really want to spend time defining my love interest in facebook? Not really. I’d rather be listening to her lyrical voice on the phone.

it’s always google reader for me. gmail mail then facebook( cant help it)… then I just kinda float around the rest of the day… oh I guess blogger when I need to blog.

The first thing I do is check my e-mail (regular e-mail, not web mail).

Then I read newsgroups.

Then I go to gmail, which alerts me if there are any comments on my “Notes from underground” blog. If there are, and they need replies, I go there and reply to them, then check my Khanya blog likewise.

If there’s time, I go to Amatomu and scan for any interesting new SA blog posts, otherwise I get on with whatever else I have to do.

I check Facebook maybe once a week, if I remember, but I tend to steer clear if it now as it’s been swamped by vibrating hamsters.

Scan my email for anything from clients, read any comments on my blog (if nothing pressing). Check news24. Say hello to my acquaintances and friends on the Mail & Guardian Forum where I’ve hung around since 2001. Check Amatomu for indications of how my blogs are doing.

Now that I’ve started the Stand up for Media Freedom in South Africa Facebook group, I’ve been uploading links and checking on the number of members. There are so many Facebook groups that are started and just die, so I am going to try to keep this one going.

Work mail first – flag the necessary mails dump the rest. Gmail next – delete 10 or so mail-forwards and spam, read the one or two that need attention. Then GReader – SA blogs first, Tech blogs (chopped down using AideRSS) last. Then down to work. I’ll skim through Twitter & Jaiku friend posts during the day, along with the odd look back at GReader.

SheBee, you should check out some of those sites, like Digg.com, slashdot or some of the other big blogs/aggregators around. Makes for interesting reading and could help you broaden your reading horizons. Took me forever to get in to some of the more interesting reads.

Lately I’ve also been enjoying ThoughtLeader, NYTimes bloggers and Working on a lot of blog platforms here and there. So work also comes in to it at some stage!

qDot – nice. Sounds pretty similar to my habits. Is myadsl really worth a read?

Weird. I don’t know what half those things are you guys have mentioned. I log into msn, check emails, check my blog, then skip over to my link list and take it from there.

Generally facebook is running the entire day, although I’m not really active on it anymore, toher than speaking to family and close friends who live far away.

The first thing i do is straight to gmail. I get a lot of mail, there are always poeple wanting me to contribute to mailforwards.co.za

Then next thing is do is check myadsl.co.za, both the news section as well as the forums.

Then I visit Amatomu, Digg.com, Slashdot. Always in that order.
