I had lunch in Sandton City this afternoon. I have never seen such a mess in a shopping centre. The escalators in the main part of the centre (where the movies are) have been shut down for repairs. In my little brain that means that they still exist but are being fixed. Not so. The escalators are gone. Now using steps.

This just goes to show that no matter how advanced we get, sometimes it’s better to just take the stairs.
